The YHA Board has welcomed a new member with the arrival of Shahida Iqbal.
With over 10 years’ experience training in the public, private and charity sectors, Shahida has worked with staff at all levels of leadership and management in a range of industries - from large international companies to the Home Office.
As well as her successful career, Shahida was Chair of Enable2, a Bradford-based social enterprise providing language and translation services across the UK. She has also been a Trustee of “Coaching Inside and Out” – another social enterprise that provides coaching opportunities to prisoners in order to reduce the reoffending cycle.
If that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, Shahida is currently a volunteer with Contact the Elderly, which organises monthly Sunday afternoon gatherings for small groups of older people aged 75 and over who are dealing with loneliness and social isolation.
We are delighted that YHA will be able to benefit from all those years of experience as well as her many charitable and voluntary roles.
