Hugh Bayley, MP visits the Scarcroft Project

Teenagers from our Scarcroft Project met with MP, Hugh Bayley on Friday 15 February 2013.  

The Scarcroft Project offers supported accommodation for nine people aged between 16 and 19, as well as helping a further 12 teenagers who are homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless.

Office Closure

The office will close at noon on Wednesday 12 December 2012 to allow staff to attend the annual Christmas lunch.

Surgeries will commence on 18th June between the hours of 10am and midday, and Sue Scott will run these surgeries from the Resident's Lounges (other dates will be 18 July, 6 August and 17 September).

VIP visitors at Auden House

We were delighted to welcome two VIP visitors to Auden House recently.

Robert Napier, Chair of the Homes and Communities Agency (pictured above) was accompanied on 21 June by HCA and CoYC officers, as well as Councillor Tracey Simpson Laing, cabinet member for housing in York.  He was able to meet with some of the residents and was shown round the scheme.

Alison Seabeck MP, Shadow Minister for Housing visited the scheme on 27 July.

'Comments Campervan' heading your way!

The Tenants Services Authority's pink camper van has now been transformed into a ‘Comments Campervan' for organisations to use to get out and about to talk to their tenants.  The Campervan has been fitted out with comfortable seats and recording equipment so that tenants can sit in comfortable surroundings and record their suggestions on how their landlord could provide them with a better service.
