Ryedale Flexible Support Scheme

This scheme provides housing related support to customers who are homeless in temporary accommodation or are at risk of becoming homeless. We support you to find permanent accommodation, set up and maintain a new tenancy, feel safe and secure in your home, manage your money, access health services, assess your options for employment and leisure and become part of your community.

Eligibility

Families and single people who are homeless or at risk of loosing a tenancy living in the Ryedale area.

Jacky's story

Jacky was referred by Ryedale District Council she had split up from her husband and was placed in temporary homeless accommodation with her baby daughter. She suffered with depression and was finding hard to cope.

Jacky needed emotional and practical support we helped her with

  • Budgeting and debts
  • Phone calls
  • Benefits
  • Filling in forms
  • Referred her to other agencies
  • Help with her confidence

Jacky has now settled into permanent accommodation and has finished a college course. She now knows how to manage her money so she is no longer in debt.
